Architects of Innovation
This program, in collaboration with the Multicultural Inventors Museum, offers in class and after school programming. Workshop material will focus on STEM related careers and fields in engineering, technology and math while highlighting diversity in innovation. Participants will have the opportunity learn about the achievements and contributions of diverse and multicultural innovators within the various fields of science and tech. Participants will also have the opportunity to work in teams to design and build their own inventions while exploring key concepts in engineering design as well as the tools, knowledge, characteristics and skills of an inventor.
Girls Got Skillz
The Girls Got Skillz club aims to engage girls in the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Participant will have the opportunity to explore a fun variety of topics, skills, and knowledge in engineering, technology, and entrepreneurship while being mentored by female professionals.Participants will collaborate with their peers to design and create innovative solutions to real world and meaningful design challenges while exploring career opportunities in the field of STEM, art, and entrepreneurship in addition to developing leadership skills.
Summer and Holiday Camps
Participants will have the opportunity to select from a variety of STEM themed camps. Each week the camp will focus on a different exciting STEM theme offering fun and innovative workshops, guest speakers and field trips. Participants have the opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge and collaborate with peers to plan, design, and prototype inventive ideas into reality.
Engineerz Got Skillz Flow Mobile Maker Lab
Engineers Got Skillz on the Flow Mobile Maker Lab is a mobile program that brings the creative maker environment to schools and youth outreach organizations. Technovation Academy will travel to the client's community location bringing along the fundamental innovative tools, materials and professional resources. Clients can select a variety of fun engineering and tech themed workshops where participants will have the opportunity to design and build their own ingenious design projects for real world design innovation challenges. Classes can be conducted either indoors or outdoors.
Engineerz Got Skillz Inc Club
This club is for up and coming youth business moguls. Classes will focus on exploring the areas of entrepreneurship (for and non- profit), social enterprise, financial literacy, and other basics of business start-up. Participants will have the opportunity to select from a variety of fun workshops which will culminate in business innovation challenge. (Note: Have workshops targeted at specific marginalized groups)
Engineerz Got Skillz Teachers Edition
This series of Engineers Got Skillz Workshops will offer teachers innovative STEM tutorials providing them with opportunity to engage in hands-on exploration of emerging STEM education technology and skills such as programming Arduino microcontrollers, building electronic circuitry and soldering. Teachers will be able to discuss, share, and collaborate with fellow professional educators on creating and implementing inventive ideas and practices for developing engaging STEM education planning and learning strategies students.
