Graphic Designer
Description
The Graphic designer will work closely with the executive director of Technovation and other staff in marketing and promotional materials that will be used in volunteer events, networking, and other related opportunities. They will also have to be able to attend meetings held in Toronto to discuss progress and contribute new ideas to the team. Other duties may be assigned by the staff as needed.
Responsibilities
- Design brochures, pamphlets, banner and flyers to be used in volunteer fairs, outreach events, etc
- Work with other staff and PR team on the branding and marketing of the organization
- Proofreading market materials to ensure high quality work
- Communicating with executive director on the status of a particular project
Requirements
- Proficiency in Graphic Design Software (Adobe, Corel, Illustrator, Photoshop etc) is REQUIRED
- Access to own personal computer containing these software is REQUIRED
- Experience with HTML & CSS, and motion graphics is an ASSET
- Work experience in graphic design is an ASSET
- Completed or working towards a degree in graphic design or illustration is an ASSET
- Experience in working with non-profit or charity is an ASSET
- Interest in the field of science, technology, engineering and math
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal English skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills

Hours and Location
Approx. 2-3 hours/week virtually. Meetings held bi-weekly or monthly in Toronto.
